Speaker Biography: Elena Avramidou is Associate Professor at Peking University, Department of History and Center for Hellenic Studies. She is in charge of the Examination Centre for Greek Language at PKU and president of the International Society of Friends of Nikos Kazantzakis-Beijing Branch. She also lectures in Ancient Greek at Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and lectured in Modern Greek at Nankai University. She gave talks and lectures in several Chinese universities and participated in international conferences in China, Europe, America and Australia. She studied Law and Philosophy at the University of Turin (Italy) and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) and got her Ph.D. in Philosophy at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece).
