Speaker Biography: Kent Johansson is the Directorate-General for Translation of the European Parliament. After working as project manager for commercial translation and information management projects, Kent Johansson moved from Sweden to Luxembourg in 1997 to begin a career in the public translation services of the European Parliament. After ten years in the European Parliament Planning service, his responsibilities today entail coordinating with the translation services of the other European Institutions as well as liaising with universities and language services of other international organizations. He started his professional career in the Royal Swedish Navy and is a graduate of Lund University, Sweden. He speaks Swedish, English, German, French and Luxembourgish.
