he information technology center (ITC) of Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) set up an online platform of learning multilingual courses in April, 2017. Based on Moodle, the platform has more than 80 courses so far, covering doctoral degrees to pre-university programs.

This new platform has a multilingual interface with all foreign languages except Javanese. it also provides icon indicators in languages and a step-by-step guidance for new users. The platform has an APP and students can enter into the platform by the WeChat public account SISU ITC.

The platform has some new functions. Firstly, it can help teachers study statistics about online courses. Secondly, it can divide a study goal into several parts to achieve, including the trace of studying activity completion and rubric comments. Thirdly, it can collect the teaching resources and teachers can manage their own teaching materials and courses online. Except for PPT, students and teachers can interact online by a series of tools, including audio, videos, texts and electronic blank boards.

The platform also has some common functions, including uploading teaching materials, assigning and correcting homework, taking online examinations, and choosing the teaching assistants.
