fruit store, Yimixian, opened on Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) campus last Sunday, locating in the University Sports Center. The store is a chain store, trying a fresh way to sell fruits among university markets.
The store aims to provide daily fresh fruits for customers and it operates in an O2O (Online to Offline) way. “A new customer needs to download our app and order online so that he/she can get fresh fruits in our shop next day,” introduced by Yuyue, who’s in charge of the SISU branch.
Yu also serves in the Department of Business Development in Yimixian Corporation. According to him, the company firstly focused on people in business area downtown. After gaining enough fund, they soon started to develop market in universities. “SISU has a potential market so we don’t want to miss,” said Yu.
Though “Yimixian” gains many customers near SLUC (Shanghai Lixin University of Commerce) and SUIBE (Shanghai University of International Business and Economics), it still meets obstacles when opening the store in SISU.
“The school has a relatively strict policy for profitable organizations, so there are limitations when advertising. We are figuring out other ways to let more SISU students know our brand,” said Yu.
Li Renhui, a junior in SISU, said she liked the idea very much. “It may give us much convenience on buying fresh fruits in school if the qualities are as good as they describe,” she said.
