undreds of students gathered in the first floor of the newly rebuilt Sports and Cultural Center on the night of September 17, watching the “Do as Infinity”, a welcoming party prepared for the freshmen. More than 80 student clubs joined the gala.
The party started with a video in five languages (Spanish, French, German, Shanghai dialect and Cantonese) representing the academic characteristics of SISU. Then the soft ballad along with the guitar attracted the listeners’ eyes and ears.
Among the whole party, the performance given by Roller Skating Club drew loud cheers, whistles and applause. Boys and girls jumping and skating across the tightly arranged roadblock with dancing their upper body in rhythm.
The one-hour’s party ended with a hot dance given by JUMP, a hip-hop dancing club in SISU. “We hope all the freshmen can feel the stage magic power of different clubs. Besides, we want to build a stage for SISU clubs to advertise themselves.” Huang Sifan, the President of SISU’s Association of Student Organizations said.
