Confucius Institute has been promoting education and cultural exchange between China and Morocco for a decade. It has recruited over 10 thousand students around the world and held over 300 cultural activities, such as showing traditional tea art and playing Chinese classical music, attracting 40 thousand Moroccans to participate.
Confucius Institute of Hassan Ⅱ has provided Chinese curriculums, which are available for students across Morocco, cultivating students who are interested in pursuing further education. 16 courses related to Chinese have been provided throughout the year, which are mainly about Chinese phonetics, grammar, Chinese characters, and classical literature.
Following Mohammed V University in Rabat which was built in 2009, Confucius Institute of Hassan Ⅱ in Morocco is the second one in Morocco, which was built jointly by SISU and Hassan Ⅱ University in Casablanca in 2013. It has incorporated Chinese teaching into the Moroccan higher education system and owned Morocco’s only remote teaching network.
