In this lecture, Dr. Evangelia Triantafyllou will present the flipped classroom as an instruction method and then discuss the state-of-the-art on learning analytics for flipped classrooms. Moreover, she will present the preliminary results of our Erasmus+ FLIP2G project, where she is developing a learning design framework that incorporates learning analytics for gamified flipped classrooms.

Speaker Biography:

Dr. Evangelia Triantafyllou is currently assistant professor at Department of Architecture Design and Media Technology of Aalborg University. She holds a Ph.D. on ICT-based teaching methods for improving mathematics learning for Media Technology students from 2015. She has also received the PDEng (Professional Doctorate in Engineering Design) degree in ICT at Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands, in 2004. Evangelia has participated in various international projects and has vast experience both in project development and management. Her research interests include instructional design, active learning and technology-enhanced learning. She has more than 45 publications in refereed journals and international conferences.
