In September of last year, Song Huanjie, who used to be a principal of Songjiang Yongfeng Experimental School, was sent to the village as an instructor to help its development.
Chen Wangdao (1891-1977) was a Chinese scholar, educator and translator. He was the first person to translate The Communist Manifesto into Chinese, completed in April 1920.

The first volume of the Songjiang Cultural Encyclopaedia was unveiled to the public on April 15th. It was presented to representatives of various circles at the launch ceremony.
Yue Opera which originated in Zhejiang province, is the second most popular form of Chinese opera after Peking opera. There are dozens of Yue Opera fans and groups in Shanghai.
Located in Nanyang Village in the southwestern suburbs of Shanghai, the Mao Zedong Badge Memorial opened in 2010. It houses a private collection of more than 300 Mao Zedong badges together with 700 photos of Mao and other important Chinese political figures.

Taking Trams is now a main way for SISUers to go on a city tour. Out of the west gate of SISU Songjiang Campus is just right the Wenhui Road Tram Station. Many students here love these trams, which are called "silkworm babies" because of its cute appearances.
From middle school time on, I have been a big fan of Eileen Chang, spending many nights diving in her literary works. Now as a postgraduate student in Shanghai, I certainly would not waste such a good opportunity to visit some of Eileen Chang’s former residences.
