rt activities have long been an important part of SISU (Shanghai International Studies University) students’ campus life. Every year, tens of art performances are held by the Art Troupe of SISU, various student clubs as well as departments.

Art activities are also part of SISU’s communication means. In September, the Art Troupe of SISU visited Uzbekistan to improve the cooperation and communication between China and other countries. Additionally, a show was held in October to welcome Latin American young leaders participating in the fifth Training and Exchanging Camp.

Reported by Ministry of Education of China, art popularization education is as one of the key points of college and university education in the country. Courses on art popularization and various kinds of refined art show are therefore open to all the students in SISU.

During the celebration of the 70^th anniversary of SISU, more art activities have been held. Here, a survey has been done to show how important art activities are in SISU students’ life.
