tudents from Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) are active in voluntary activities including fighting against COVID-19, supporting China International Import Expo and guiding tour at Liuli Art Museum.

Here is a survey about current voluntary situation of SISU students. 73 percent of them in the survey are female and 41 percent of them are freshmen.

Ren Yanbing, a student from School of Journalism and Communication and was once a welcome volunteer, shared her volunteer experience, “I was wearing an orange T-shirt writing ‘SISU senior’ and saw new faces entering the dormitory vibrantly. I felt quite joyful to help them and also felt that there is something we can pass down to the new comers through this voluntary activities. "

Li Weishan, a student from School of European and Latin American Studies, who used to be a garbage sorting volunteer, said, “From the beginning, everyone littered in a mess. But so far the situation has improved a lot by our efforts. "

Huo Xingyu, who is spending her last year as a student in SISU, said, “I hope we can make SISU better, even the society better, through the voluntary activities.”
