hanghai International Studies University (SISU) launches two MOOCs "A Panoramic View of China" and "Chinese Myths" on the UK MOOC platform FutureLearn and the Chinese University MOOC platform recently.

The MOOC "A Panoramic View of China" provides a comprehensive overview of China's history, culture, and economy, targeting at international students. It lasts eight weeks and is divided into ten chapters, including China's basic national conditions, history, philosophy and religion, literature and art, language and writing, economy, science technology and people's livelihood, customs and habits.

The other course "Chinese Myths" is a MOOC developed and produced based on the offline course "Chinese Myths" for international students at the School of Chinese Studies and Exchange (SCSE) .

"Chinese Myths" selects 15 Chinese myths, such as The Creation of Sky and Earth by Pan Gu and Nvwa Made Human Being. It enables foreign students to understand Chinese mythological stories that share similarities with the creation stories in Greek mythology. It supports materials to further explain the key and points in the video.

SCSE has built a series of MOOCs in recent years. It has now built eight MOOCs on multiple platforms, including FutureLearn in the UK. In addition, it still has 3 courses in production.
