School of English Wins by Penalty Shootout!

chool of English (SEIS) won 2024 Shanghai International Studies University’s (SISU) Football President's Cup on November 19, defending champion in a penalty shootout. 

Shortly after the game started, the SEIS defender kicked the ball into his own goal, which made the SEIS players tense.

The situation of the game changed dramatically in the 21^st minute. Huang Wenxuan was sent off with a second yellow card for an overly aggressive tackle.

In the 40^th minute, Zhou Hanzhang of SEIS made a precise pass to his teammate Xu Zhixian and Xu scored in the shot! The regular time ended with both sides tied 1:1, and the game entered the cruel penalty shootout.

SEIS won the championship with the score 2:0 in the penalty shootout.  

“Today's game was really tough. Falling behind at the start put a lot of pressure on us, but everyone never gave up!” said Luo Jiaxing, the captain of SEIS.
