CGTN America President Jiang Heping addressed the 25th annual Harvard College China forum in Boston on Saturday night.
Jiang graduated from Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) in 1987 with dual degrees in English studies and International Journalism.
Jiang spoke of the importance of cooperation between the two nations in light of the pressing times as the world works to combat COVID-19, alleviate climate change, and improve security.
CGTN's Global Action Initiative showed how people and nations around the world are working to implement sustainable development, Jiang highlighted.
The student-run conference partnered with CGTN America and other groups to hold the forum that brings together students and politicians, economists, business leaders and scientists to find ways to build bridges and understanding between China and the U.S.
