hanghai International Studies University (SISU) co-hosted a conference on December 4 to discuss the key issues for the Sino-Arab G60 Cooperation Development Promotion Center in 2024.

The meeting primary focused on the operational mechanism and team building of the promotion center’s new platform. It also discussed the proposed projects and areas to be explored, aiming to deepen cooperation and achieve mutual benefits.

The participants agreed to consolidate existing brand projects such as education and training, cultural and people-to-people exchanges, and think tank research.

They also emphasized the need to enhance service capabilities and explore cooperation in the fields of digital economy, low-carbon technology, trade finance, and energy industries between China and Arab countries.

The platforms such as the China-Arab Reform and Development Research Center, the G60 Science and Technology Innovation Corridor in Yangtze River Delta and the Secretariat of the China-Arab University Alliance should be fully utilized to promote global resource allocation and factor mobility.

Discussions were also held on strengthening co-construction of Songjiang district with SISU and establishing a regular working and communication mechanism to formulate practical cooperation measures.

The Sino-Arab G60 Cooperation Development Promotion Center hosted at SISU on November 8 was to promote industrial collaboration, cultural and talent exchanges between G60 enterprises and Arab enterprises.

G60 refers to Yangtze River Delta G60 Science &Technology Innovation Valley, among which Songjiang, Shanghai is one important cities.

By organizing Sino-Arab cultural exchanges, training, visits, and thematic conferences, SISU will expand the international influence in the G60 Science and Technology Innovation Corridor in the Yangtze River Delta by 2025.
