hanghai International Studies University (SISU) was included in the list of 137 universities for “Double First-Class” project released by China’s Ministry of Education on September 21, 2017.

SISU, with its traditional strength in the discipline of foreign language and literature, is now endowed with a great opportunity for sustained excellence and further growth.

In the framework of the project, SISU will endeavor to develop a multi-discipline composed of foreign language and literature, journalism and communication, and political science. Benchmarked against the highest international standards, SISU will strive to integrate the excellence and the potentiality of the three disciplines and build them into a well-structured discipline cluster.
