hanghai International Studies University (SISU) took the place of 62 in the latest ranking for 2017 “Best Chinese Universities Ranking (BCUR)”, which was published recently by Shanghai Ranking, a company providing college data and strategic consulting service.

Evaluation standards of BCUR are teaching and learning, research, social service, and internationalization. Teaching and learning has nearly half of the influence on the final ranking while research follows closely.

1216 universities and colleges in China consisting of 793 public universities, 140 private universities and 283 independent colleges have been considered by BCUR. They each is needed to have more than 100 undergraduates in 2015, have more than 100 papers published from 2011 to 2015, and have bachelor’s degrees approved by Chinese Ministry of Education.

SISU won the fifth place in a the“Salary Ranking of University Graduates in China”, according to iPIN.com, a large data-based website focusing on job market. The statistical data shows that graduates of SISU earn an average salary of 12,801 yuan per month five years after graduation.
