hanghai Sheshan National Forest Park is located in Songjiang District of the western suburbs of Shanghai, which is about 30 kilometers from the city center. It is the only natural mountain resort in Shanghai, covering 401 hectares. Meanwhile it is the highest peak of Shanghai. The twelve peaks in the park are like twelve emeralds of different sizes, winding for 13 kilometers from southwest to northeast, which demonstrates making a beautiful and colorful mountain landscape of Shanghai Plain.

In the 1960s, Shanghai Sheshan National Forest Park was established as a botanical garden, but it was forced to stop its construction due to the "Cultural Revolution". In 1993, it was approved as a national forest park by the State Forestry Department of China. In 1995, Sheshan was approved as a national tourist resort by the State Council.  Sheshan has always been famous for its history and culture of gathering human beings and its long-standing religious relics. The gardens of Foxiang Spring, Xi Spring In The Heart, San Leng Spring and Cliff Stone Carvings and Meigong Fishing Rocks set each other off. 

Kiryu Weir, Chung Platform, Muyu Stone and the Tower of Passers and Tianma Leaning Tower set each other off. The first cathedral in the far east on the mountain is integrated with China's first-class observatory. Under the mountain forest hundred bird garden, aerial cable cars, dry land sledge gather in one place. Overlooking from a high altitude, Jiu Feng has three lake, with exquisite mountains and connected scenic spots, such as a picture scroll. Walking through the woods, the peach and willow trees are pretty everywhere, and the scenery is delicate and charming, better than clouds.

Among them, the West Sheshan Garden Scenic spot is a spot with the best environment and the largest area among the nine peaks in Yunjian. The brilliant cultural landscape and beautiful natural scenery in the park attract a large number of Chinese and foreign tourists. The mountains are lush with old wood and cover the sun with hidden sky. Deep in the shade of the top of the mountain, an extraordinary ochre building is the famous Catholic "the first cathedral of the far East". The adjacent domed building is the oldest astronomical observatory in China, and the stone tablet "the Top of the Mountain" has spent countless sleepless nights with generations of astronomers in China and the West, taking a large number of precious pictures of celestial bodies. The Zhongshan Church, the three Holy Pavilions, the tortuous road and the monk tower, which are located on the hillside, have added a bit of mystery to the garden. The tea garden on the southwest slope is the only place of origin of "Shanghai Dragonwell", which can be called a fine product of tea.

Therefore, Sheshan has become the back garden of all Shanghainese.
